EES guidelines

In 2002, the Minister for Planning determined that the Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) was required to complete an Environment Effects Statement (EES) for the Port Phillip Channel Deepening Project, in line with the Environment Effects Act 1978 (Vic) .

The Department of Infrastructure (DoI) prepared draft Scoping Guidelines, setting out the matters that needed to be investigated and documented by the PoMC. The DoI invited public comment on the draft guidelines. Following a public comment period the Scoping Guidelines were finalised and may be viewed at the links below.
