Port welcomes Federal Minister’s decision on channel deepening - 21 December 2007
Port of MelbourneCorporation (PoMC) today welcomed the decision by the Federal Minister for Environment, Mr Peter Garrett, giving the final approval required for the Channel Deepening Project to proceed in Port Phillip Bay.

Port of Melbourne Corporation hits out at false statements on channel deepening - 22 July 2003
The Port of Melbourne Corporation has dismissed as nonsense claims that any deepening works at the heads and in Port Phillip Bay may cause flooding around the bay. Damien O’Brien, the corporation’s Project Director for channel deepening, said expert evidence proved this would not happen.
