Dredging vessels to leave Melbourne for reconstruction and routine maintenance
At today's Channel Deepening Project weekly news conference, Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) announced that the project's two main dredging vessels are both scheduled to leave Port Phillip Bay this week.

Port urges boaters to stay safe on the water this spring
Traditionally fine spring weather sees increased numbers of boat operators using Port Phillip Bay and the Yarra River.  With this in mind Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) is urging boaters to stay safe on the water by steering clear of dredging equipment currently operating as part of the Channel Deepening Project.

Channel Deepening Project to proceed in the morning
Portof MelbourneCorporation will proceed with the Channel Deepening Project tomorrow.
The dredge vessel, Queen of the Netherlands, is currently scheduled to depart SouthWharfat 4am, and commence dredging in South Channel at approximately 7amtomorrow. (This timing is subject to weather, scheduling and other operational matters that will be determined closer to the expected departure time.)
